Good Morning Gospel Guys and Gals!
How's that for some Thursday morning alliteration?
I hope you enjoyed your reading, yesterday and were able to download and listen to the podcast. If you have not listened to the podcast yet, you can find it here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1014112/episodes/3373549 or here: https://youtu.be/PnNv2gDqaaA
A
podcast is an easy way for me convey information to you, without having
to create a full-length video. You can download it and listen while you
do chores, drive in your car, sit in your bathtub, or any other
activity in which you usually listen to books, sermons, or music.
I will be releasing at least one podcast per week.
Speaking of email, my plan is to send you one short email per day. In this email, you will have the questions for the next day's reading. Today, I am sending both yesterday's and today's.
The reason for this is because yesterday's introduction was a bit
longer than most day's material. But it was necessary to set the
foundation for our reading. If I don't have your email address, send it to me @ drderin@yahoo.com
Some
of you have asked me about which Bible to use. I will primarily be
using an ESV, although an NIV or KJV will work, just fine. Please stay
away from paraphrased versions such as The Message. I abhor them. They
are only useful for sound bytes and kids. The ESV is a fairly direct,
word-for-word translation, while the NIV is a thought-for-thought
translation. Both are good. I think the ESV is better. We can talk more
about translation at a later time.
The main website for our study will be www.tracestudentministry.com
On this site, you will find all the major updates. Typically, the site will be updated at least once per day.
I also plan on having on Zoom
meeting per week so that we can discuss the things we are reading. If
you do not know how to Zoom, reach out to me and I will help you.
Our Zoom meetings will be for a more "face to face" interaction.
Once
again, I welcome you to this study and can not wait to see what God
will do in your life as you learn more about His son and the plan for
salvation. Enjoy your time with Him!
Grace and peace,
Derin
